I'm Omar Rashid. I run a D2C operation in Bangalore. I built Ads Direction because the audit I needed for my own ad accounts didn't exist at a price I'd pay — and I wasn't the only founder in that bind.
The trigger
I watched founder after founder pay an agency ₹50,000/month or a freelancer ₹1,00,000 per audit, get a 40-page PDF, ship two recommendations, and go back to flying blind. The audit was real. The cadence was the problem. By the time you've actioned half the report, the report is stale.
Meanwhile, the same detectors a senior auditor runs by hand can be automated. The brand voice that gates whether a generated ad is on-brand or off-brand can be captured in a guidelines PDF and read by a Vision LLM. The weekly loop that closes implementation tracking can be a daily cron reading your account.
None of this was a new idea. The bet was that an Indian D2C founder spending ₹50K on ads would rather pay ₹6K/month for this loop than ₹50K-₹2L per quarter for one snapshot.
What I won't do
- No editor access to your accounts. We're read-only. If we get this wrong, the worst thing that happens is a bad recommendation — not a campaign that shipped without you knowing.
- No manufactured findings. When the threshold isn't crossed, the audit says "your account is healthy this week." Nobody pays me to invent busywork.
- No selling your data. Anonymized cohort patterns sharpen the synthesizer. Your raw numbers stay with you.
- No retention friction. Cancel button is in the dashboard. One click. You finish the cycle you paid for, then it stops. No exit interview.
What I will do
Reply to your email. I'm at omar@adsdirection.com and I read everything. If the Monday audit misses something obvious, tell me — we'll tune the detector and ship it for everyone the next week.
Show my work. Every claim in every audit cites a specific row in your account — keyword, campaign, conversion tag, search term. No fluff. If a recommendation is wrong, it's falsifiable; I want to know.
Build the product in public. Each weekly audit gets sharper because we've seen what landed across the cohort. Each new detector goes through eval review. I'll write about what's working and what isn't.
The stack
Claude Opus 4.6 on the synthesizer and creative generators (heavy-lift). Claude Haiku on the cheap classifications. Read-only OAuth to Google Ads, Shopify, and Meta. Daily ingestion cron. Inngest for the event graph. Supabase for the data plane. Cloudflare R2 for assets. Razorpay for billing. Built on Next.js and Python. Hosted on Vercel and Railway.
36 detectors run per audit. Most weeks 3-7 cross the confidence + impact threshold and surface as findings. The rest run silently — when something we monitor regresses, you hear about it within 24 hours.
